Hello MACS Families,
I wanted to provide you with a few updates and reminders as we enter the month of November next week.
This Saturday, 10/31, into Sunday 11/1, we “fall back.” Please make sure to move your clocks back one hour either Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Next Friday, 11/6, is the last day of the First Quarter. I encourage you to speak with your child about his/her progress and review the Google Classrooms to check on assignments and grades. No first quarter assignments will be accepted after Friday, November 1st. If you need assistance accessing your child’s Google Classroom, please email Mr. Foley at [email protected].
First Quarter Parent - Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 12th from
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Additional reminders and information about First Quarter conferences will be sent out as we approach that date.
Our next Parent University/Title I meeting is Thursday, November 19th. You will receive further details in another message closer to the date. Please mark your calendars.
As the weather changes, more students will develop coughs and colds. While we have tissues and hand sanitizer in the school, I urge you to have your child bring a small set of tissues and hand sanitizer with them each day to minimize classroom disruptions and/or time out of class.
Lastly, I have one major request. We have noticed that many students are congregating at Broad and Erie Streets before and after school. Please encourage your child to commute directly to and from school each day to minimize the opportunity for any untoward incidents to occur.
