Scholarships:
Merit-based scholarships can be awarded by individual colleges and are based on one's application (GPA and test scores). Other scholarships can come from community-based organizations and businesses.These scholarships may be found through the links listed below or via assistance from our School Counselor.

  •  Hermine Solt Student Scholarship
    • This is for seniors who are majoring in the business field at any approved two or four-year post-secondary institution, college or university. 
    • $500 used as either tuition assistance or bookstore credit.

  • Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship Program
    • For graduating high school seniors who reside in Pennsylvania. The program is administered through the Foundation for Enhancing Communities and provides four-year scholarships to two high school seniors per year. Each award consists of the value of one semester of tuition at the State System of Higher Education for each of the four years. Students must maintain eligibility criteria in all four years in order to receive the ongoing award.       • Eligibility Criteria:
        Graduating High School Senior
        Legal Residency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
        Attendance at a PA College, university, or career school as a full-time student
        Academic achievement (Minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA)
        Commitment to community and leadership qualities
        Extracurricular activities
        Financial need
  
  • Urquhart Memorial Foundation Scholarship
    • Scholarships for students who are:
      • A high school senior
      • African-American resident of the city of Philadelphia
      • Have been accepted to a 4 year college or university for Fall of 2017
      • Minimum of 2.5 GPA
      • Financial Need
      • Involved in extracurricular activities and/or community service

  • "Aspiring Animation Professional" 
    • Interested in an animation career path? High school seniors have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Check out: http://www.animationcareerreview.com/  for eligibility and the online application. 
 
  • "Aspiring Business Professional"
    • Plans to pursue a business degree? High school seniors have the opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Check out: http://www.onlinembareport.com for eligibility and the online application.
 
  • "Aspiring Nurse Scholarship"

  • 2018 Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus Scholarship
    • $1000 scholarships for class of 2017. Applicants must be a person of color, resident of PA, a senior, min 2.5 GPA, plan to enroll in a 2 or 4 year college, demonstrate leadership.
